Dr. Isaacson graduated summa cum laude from Boston College with a degree in Biochemistry, and was elected to the Phi Beta Kappa honor society. He went on to Tufts University School of Medicine where he received his medical doctorate in 1991. He was chosen to be a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Honor Society. He completed his internship and residency at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Massachusetts General Hospital, the two main teaching affiliates of Harvard Medical School. There, he was chosen to be the Chief Resident in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Throughout his career, Dr. Isaacson has been committed to providing abortion services. In 1995 he moved to the Phoenix area and began practicing general obstetrics and gynecology, which he did until the beginning of 2004 when he decided to devote himself full-time to providing abortion care and helping to keep choice available for women. Dr. Isaacson is on the faculty of the University of Arizona College of Medicine as an Assistant Clinical Professor.
